Hello everyone!!!
We were walking down the street to visit an investigator because our other appointment had fallen through, and we found a woman who invited us into her house and although she was very catholic, when she heard about living prophets she asked us, "And where can I go to find this prophet?? Like his address, his phone number?" We talked to her about the restoration and she committed stronger than anyone I've ever met to pray to know if Joseph Smith restored the same Gospel that Jesus Christ organized on the earth. I know the Lord guides our paths!
Con amor,
This week has been crazy with its ups and downs, but I am always in awe to see how much God plays the center role in our lives.
I think I mentioned that we were teaching our recent convert's daughter. Well, this week she accepted a baptism date! She came to church even though she wasn't feeling good and is so ready to change her life. She just kept saying that she wanted to feel the peace that her mom and brother had felt from the gospel. We are going to eat lunch with them today too :)
Alligator Sandwich! It was sooo good! |
Hermana Rodriguez always keeps me light on my feet and so happy. This week when I was a little down she told me a joke in Spanish, but still is funny in English..."What sound does a gorillas doorbell make? King kong, king kong." Its really not that funny, but her sweet spirit just made me laugh. I'm so grateful for those little celestial moments.
Keep looking for those little moments every day! That is what life is composed of...lots of little moments. "Line upon line, precept upon precept." (Isaiah 28:10, and 2nd Nephi 28:30) We can't change everything in one day to the next, but God can help us one moment to the next.
I love this Gospel and am so so grateful to be serving in Peru!
Love you all! Keep smiling!
Con amor,
Hermana Briggs
Sorry there aren't pics...the computer doesn't want to work with me today :)
